Plumbing Issue #7

This is a nice looking Boiler Mate hot water maker. This unit according to the manufacturer’s tags is now 18 years old. In the town where it is installed this should have leaks a while ago. A major contributing factor to the recommendations made was that the remainder of the basement is finished with carpet, entertainment area, home office and laundry.  Based on our experience it was recommended that the unit be replaced before it leaked. It became a $1800.00 project. If left till it leaked the repairs would have been substantially more.  

Heating Issue#7

The golf bag, lamp, dehumidifier and table can all be moved. The wall to wall is not as easy. The proud owner of this home has wall to wall around the wood stove. It might dress up the room, but it is way to close to the stove for safety. To remove the carpet and install a non-combustible floor covering around $500.00 minimum depending on your choice of materials.
